Miguel Garzón

Professional background

A practicing lawyer, Miguel Garzón holds a law degree from the Pompeu Fabra University of Barcelona (1996). He also completed a master’s degree in European Law at the Institut d’Études Européennes of the Free University of Brussels. In 1998 he completed a Master of Laws (LL.M.) at the prestigious Columbia University in New York, where he specialized in criminal law and procedural guarantees. In 1999, he worked in the Commercial and Criminal Law departments of a prestigious law firm and was admitted to the New York Bar.

In 2002, he joined Molins Defensa Penal, where he began a successful career in the Litigation Department. After a period of professional entrepreneurship abroad, he returned to the firm in 2025.

He has authored several articles in law journals and has collaborated on legislative processes in other countries.
