Luis Jordana de Pozas

Professional background

Luis Jordana de Pozas was an active member of the Public Prosecutor’s Office, where he served in the Court of Biscay, the Court of Alicante and the High Court of Justice of Madrid. For 10 years he held the position of Dean of the Economic Crimes Group of the Public Prosecutor’s Office of the High Court of Justice of Madrid. In this capacity he represented the Public Prosecutor’s Office in a large number of legal proceedings for economic crimes of all kinds, and, at the same time, he coordinated the rest of the prosecutors integrated in the economic crimes group. At the age of 34 he was awarded with the Distinguished Cross of 1st class of the Order of San Raimundo de Peñafort.
After having served in the Public Prosecutor’s Office for 14 years, he requested voluntary leave of absence and joined one of the major Spanish law firms where, as a partner, he created and directed the criminal law department of its Madrid office for more than 25 years.
In 2023 he joined Molins Criminal Defense as managing partner of his office in Madrid..
