Juan Segarra

Professional background

Head of the Litigation Department in the Barcelona office, Juan Segarra Monferrer holds a Master’s Degree in Criminal Law and Criminal Sciences issued by both the University of Barcelona and the University Pompeu Fabra, having completed PhD courses in Criminal Law at the University Pompeu Fabra (UPF).
He joined the firm in 2005 (since the early days of his career), promoting professionally in 2018 to associate lawyer of the firm and in 2024 to Director of the Litigation Department of Molins Defensa Penal in the Barcelona office.
Currently, he is a professor of the Master in Criminal Law and Criminal Sciences at the University of Barcelona and the University Pompeu Fabra, professor of the Master in Economic Criminal Law and Compliance at the University Pompeu Fabra and professor of Criminal Litigation of the Master of Law at the BSM-UPF (University Pompeu Fabra).
Author of several articles and specialized publications, he regularly lectures in courses and conferences in the field of Criminal Law and Criminal Procedural Law.
