Professional career
Doctor in Law with European mention from the Pompeu Fabra University (UPF) (2015), Dr. Albert Estrada i Cuadras has a Master’s in Criminal Law and Criminal Sciences from the University of Barcelona – Pompeu Fabra University (2005).
Between 2005 and 2016, he was a teacher in training at UPF. He is currently a professor on the Master’s Degree in Economic Criminal Law and Compliance at the Barcelona School of Management (UPF). In the 2016-2017 academic year, he was a visiting professor at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, where he continues to teach his Master’s in Criminal Law.
Abroad, he has carried out various research stays at the Ludwig-Maximilians Universität from Munich and has attended courses at the London School of Economics and Political Science, as well as at the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, in Belgium. He speaks English and German.
Author of two monographs (2016 y 2017) and various articles, his publications have focused on the legal theory of crime and in economic criminal law. He has given lectures both in Spain and abroad. His lines of investigation are industrial espionage, public and private corruption, market abuse crimes, crimes against intellectual and industrial property, as well as internal business investigations. He collaborates as an academic consultant for the firm.
